Garni – Geghard – Charents Arch – Symphony of Stones
During this tour, you will explore some of Armenia’s most breathtaking landmarks.
The excursion begins at the Charents Arch, offering a majestic panoramic view of Mount Ararat — the biblical symbol of Armenia. It was here that the poet Yeghishe Charents found inspiration to write his famous lines praising the beauty of his homeland.
Next, you’ll visit the Temple of Garni, the only preserved pagan temple in the region, dedicated to the Sun God Mihr. It stands as a unique example of Hellenistic architecture in Armenia.
The following stop is the Geghard Monastery, partially carved into the rock and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is renowned for its spiritual atmosphere and ancient relics, including the spear that, according to legend, pierced the body of Christ.
The tour concludes in the Garni Gorge, where you’ll witness a natural wonder — the Symphony of Stones. These hexagonal basalt columns, sculpted by nature itself, resemble the pipes of a giant organ and leave an unforgettable impression.
