Areni Winery – Shaki Waterfall – Tatev Monastery – “Wings of Tatev” Cable Car
We start our day at the Areni Winery, where some of Armenia’s finest wines are produced. Here you’ll taste exquisite wines known not only across Armenia but also beyond its borders.
Next, we visit the Shaki Waterfall, a true wonder of nature — yet created by human hands. Yes, you heard it right: this magnificent waterfall is artificial, astonishing visitors with both its beauty and the creator’s unique vision.
The highlight of the day is the Tatev Monastery, proudly standing on the edge of a deep gorge — one of Armenia’s most iconic landmarks. Looking down, you feel as if you are flying over the canyon, which is why the monastery’s name, Tatev, translates to “give wings.” From the monastery, you can descend via the world’s longest reversible cable car — “Wings of Tatev.” This breathtaking ride offers panoramic views of the canyon and an unforgettable sense of freedom.
