Gyumri – Black Fortress – Museum of Urban Life (Dzitoghtsyan House) – Harichavank Monastery

During this private tour, you will visit Gyumri, the second-largest city in Armenia and one of the country’s main cultural centers. In recent years, the only Catholic church in Armenia was built here.

At the Museum of Urban Life and National Architecture (Dzitoghtsyan House), you’ll get a glimpse into the everyday life, traditions, and culture of 19th-century Gyumri. The museum’s exhibits vividly reflect the atmosphere and lifestyle of the city’s residents of that era.

Next, you’ll stop at the Black Fortress (Sev Berd) — one of Gyumri’s most famous landmarks, built in 1834 and listed among the city’s historical and cultural monuments.

While strolling through the streets of Gyumri, you’ll admire its old buildings and feel the spirit of 19th-century architecture.

The excursion concludes with a visit to Harichavank Monastery, a 7th-century architectural gem surrounded by picturesque nature. Once, it served as a major spiritual and educational center of the region.
