Tsaghkadzor-Kecharis Monastery-Lake Sevan-Sevanavank Monastery-Old Town Dilijan-Haghartsin & Goshavank Monasteries

On this journey, you will discover some of Armenia’s most breathtaking sights.Your trip begins in Tsaghkadzor, the “Valley of Flowers,” just an hour’s drive from Yerevan. According to legend, the name comes from a princess’s garden whose flowers were once scattered across the valley by a storm. Here you’ll explore the 11th-century Kecharis Monastery, and ride the famous cable car, which rises to 2,819 meters, offering spectacular panoramic views across Armenia. Tsaghkadzor is also known for its clean, refreshing air and healing climate.

Next, you’ll visit Lake Sevan, Armenia’s “Blue Pearl,” located 1,900 meters above sea level. On the peninsula you’ll explore the 9th-century Sevanavank Monastery, home to one of the most beautiful khachkars of Armenia – the “Amenaprkich” (All-Savior), one of only thirteen cross-stones depicting Christ.

Heading further north, the tour continues to the green city of Dilijan. Here you’ll stop at Goshavank Monastery, closely linked with Mkhitar Gosh – philosopher, scholar, and author of Armenia’s first code of law. The site is also famous for Master Poghos’s “embroidered khachkar,” considered a true masterpiece.

The journey concludes at Haghartsin Monastery, whose name translates as “Dance of the Eagles.” Nestled in the forested mountains, this 10th–14th century complex looks like a fairy-tale scene. Its refectory is the largest in Armenian church architecture and was considered an innovative achievement of its time.
